REPORT: There is edemna and fluid in the subcutaneous tissue around the ankle joint. Sagitta T2 weighted images show abnormal area of increased signal intensity in the bone marrow of the tibia, talus and calcaneus consistent with bone bruising. Increased width and signal of the anterior fibulo – talus ligament is compatible with partial tear. There is edema in the deltoid ligament. There is some fluid in the peroneus tendon sheath. There is edema in the fat at anterior part of the Achilles tendon. Bone bruising in the calcaneus at insertion of the Achilles tendon is noted.-
